Colombians have a sweet tooth and on every block we find at least two restaurants that offer the typical desserts, wafers, puff pastries, cakes and brownies. But desserts are also art and here we present the best bakeries in Bogotá, those that are characterized by selling not only desserts, but well-designed and exquisite gastronomic constructions. Curious ideas, whose delicious combinations make diners hesitate between eating or taking a photo.
1.Philippe Pastry
A beautiful place with a French feel, where their desserts seduce the eye and provoke the palate. Once again we find a bakery that advocates low sugar, but in this case all their recipes are sugar-free. It is a classic French bakery that makes lemon, chocolate and poppy seed cakes. Their display cases are filled with pastel colors of their apple, cinnamon and cheese muffins, vanilla and raspberry millefeuilles, chocolate bonbons, truffles and macarons. Clearly, bread cannot be missing in a French bakery. Definitely one of the best bakeries in Bogotá.
Located at 109th Street #17 – 10.

2. Florida
A classic in every sense. It is one of the oldest bakeries in Bogotá. It has been in its only traditional location on Carrera Séptima and Calle 21 for 70 years. It is a 100{cf36ab772ca1cb970b340946e20b9f0ed96ae0b4b5da69921d7bb2865ee8be59} Colombian bakery, whose fame is due to its famous Santafereño chocolate with cheese, bread and butter, panela water, its almojábanas and typical Colombian desserts. But its charm also lies in its wide variety of bakeries, with desserts of international flavors. It is so iconic that another part of its business consists of orders for birthdays, weddings and other special occasions. It is a traditional bakery, worth going to to feel like a rolo.
Located at Carrera 7ma # 21-46.
3.Eric Kayser
With a French bakery and pastry idea, but with a very international feel. Located in the most famous cities in the world such as Paris, New York, London and Tokyo; the only one in Colombia is in Bogotá and there are few in Latin America.
It is part of the Kayser chain. It is a beautiful place, which exudes elegance, luxury and simplicity, which attracts anyone who sees it at first sight. Everything in this restaurant is focused on the details; Their desserts are unusual, with combinations of exotic flavors, but with traditional recipes. Even at the end of the meal you are fortunate to receive a delicious sample of their bakery on the house. Apart from being one of the most elegant, it is one of the best pastry shops in Bogotá.
Located at 81st Street #9-43.
4.Siuka
It is an intimate and cozy place, but above all, it is artisanal. They started with custom-made pastries, but they grew so much that they deserved a beautiful place. The perfect place to leave work for a coffee or go out for lunch on a weekend for a dessert. Their star desserts are brownies, apple cake with red fruits, chocolate cake, almond croissants with chocolate, pies and lemon, chocolate, mango, and apple cheesecakes. And the best thing is that they are all baked on the same day, so those desserts with beautiful designs and well-combined flavors are made with fresh ingredients. But to make your visit worthwhile, you must take home-made honey and blackberry jam.
Located at 79a Street #8 – 82.
5.The Rosconeria
It is not exactly a bakery, but some would describe it as an artisanal, Colombian bakery, in the style of Andrés Carnes de Res. Its fame is great because it is possibly the only bakery in Bogotá that is dedicated to filling roscones with all kinds of ingredients. For now, it has 30 varieties of roscones, both sweet and savory, and it would be strange if they did not create more. The least requested is the snack or arequipe roscon, because it is not worth going to La Rosconería and not trying the peach and Worcestershire sauce roscon, or the passion fruit with chocolate chips, or the one with agraz and marshmallows. But when we refer to “all kinds of ingredients” we mean that they can fill a roscon with blue cheese, or shrimp with cheese, or mushrooms with cheese, and more.

Its recipes are traditional from each of the countries that inspired its owners. All made with healthy ingredients: butter – not margarine, animal fats – not vegetable fats, fat-free, sugar-free. Clearly there are recipes for more tastes too.

7. Friends
French-Buenos Aires minimalist, that’s how some of its diners describe it. Its characteristic aroma is that of freshly baked croissants or as they would say in Buenos Aires, medialunas. Completely attended by its owners, it is a simple, classic and beautiful bakery, full of croissants, empanadas, cinnamon rolls, almond croissants, alfajores. Everything is always fresh. Its star desserts are the Sánchez cake, lemongrass water and a croissant with pastry cream and vanilla. 80% of the premises is the kitchen and the other 20% is the dining room for 12 people.

8.Into the water ducks
The duck in this restaurant is the artisan toast that is the base of most of the recipes in this restaurant. One of the best desserts is the milk duck with bacon and banana, but they also sell healthy desserts, based on yogurt and fruit, passion fruit cakes, peach and red fruits, and obviously chocolate cannot be missed. 9.Harry’s Bakery
A sophisticated café with a traditional and simple yet chic style. A bakery from the Harry Sasson chain, located on Carrera 6ta and Calle 69. Its display case offers delicious products with curious combinations for all tastes: guava pie, Baileys dessert and chocolate Truffle Pie, but the best thing is its generous portions for people who eat little for lunch to make room for their desserts.

10. Myriam Camhi
A bakery whose sweet name is synonymous with the best cakes, desserts and snacks in Bogotá. A bakery with so much taste that its most special location is in one of the most beautiful architecturally preserved houses in the city. But, probably what makes it most special is the delicate flavor of all its desserts, due to some of its recipes with little or no sugar, soft ingredients and lively and beautiful assemblies that delight customers to eat.
